Cultivating Leadership First....Skills Later

Just this morning, I checked my facebook inbox and found a response to my recently published personal story where I revealed some information about my experience as a child as it relates to poverty consciousness.

See the discussion named MY STORY at this link for all the details.
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=50737983267

I thought I would share that response here on my blog to reiterate that success has nothing to do with what you are DOING but who you are BEING.

------Here is a response to MY STORY--------------------

Hi Susan,

I love your story. I too came from a family much like yours. Single mom raising four kids. There was never any money to do anything special but I always knew there was a better way.

I love how you have tied your story in with Beyond Freedom. I have to say that is very unique. Most LLI people only preach about the money. I am glad to see that you aren't following that path.

I was with LLI for more than a year and bought the leads they said to buy, placed the ads they said worked, bought more leads that were supposed to be better than the last. Went to all the training calls hoping to get the missing piece to prosperity.

It wasn't until I found On Stage Marketing that I found that missing piece. I am glad for my time with LLI and I believe that Beyond Freedom may have saved my life (I was very depressed) but I am also glad to be free from LLI.

You see, I now know that I just didn't know how to be a marketer. Like you I didn't have the skills. The training that LLI provides is great but it doesn't work for most people. If it is working for you, I say hurray! But I also see that you are doing something not in line with their teachings by promoting the product instead of the business.

Good For You!

You may want to think about sending people to a different website than the company's self replicated site. Something more along the lines of promoting the product.

Best of luck to you!

Amy H.

---------My Response to Amy----------------
Amy,
Thank you for the info. It was very helpful. I did go to your website.

I know that not everyone succeeds with LLI and that's Okay. Not everyone can develop themselves sufficiently to lead a team. Things that work for some will never work for another and it has nothing to do with the skill but who you are BEING at the time. When you are coming from desperate circumstances and holding a victim mindset, you will remain there until a shift is made.

I don't blame the system but encourage everyone to take responsibility for their own mindset and actions. Doing this will bring forward the successful leaders and leave the rest behind.

I believe my choice to focus on the Beyond Freedom product is in perfect alignment with the company and its teachings. It is the foundation to everything else in LLI. It is the primary tool to help people out of victim-hood and into the driver seat of their life. It should be talked about.

Beyond Freedom has helped me in many ways, even though most of it I had heard before through other personal development strategies. I encourage its use with my entire team because it delivers the leaders and yes leaves behind the victims that cannot be saved from themselves.

My only purpose is to demonstrate the leadership by being a leader.

Best wishes to you,
Dr. Susan Duve

Before you act and begin the DOING thing...be sure you have clearly defined who you are BEING.

This is the single most important piece of advice that was given to me. It has made all the difference in my success.

Evolving Truth

Sounds strange but essential to all of humanity when it comes to interpreting our reality. What we think is true now may change later on.

Look at the time when the world was thought to be flat. Consider the time we thought the world was round? Wait, don't we still believe this? What if it isn't?

Science and technology are changing the way we perceive the world on a regular basis. Quatnum theory is now quantum physics based on scientific evidence that was not part of global consciousness just one hundred years ago.

So, why then is the statement Evolving Truth so unsettling to us?

I think it is because we must be prepared to change our position and reset our beliefs frequently to deal with constant changes in truth and the new evolving reality of the world we live in. This can be challenging to many people set in their ways.

Here is an article that further explains this by Jennie Marlow. See the link for more information.

-------------Truth in the Now Moment------------------------
June 27th, 2009 by jenniemarlow

“The truth can only be known in the now.”

— White Buffalo

White Buffalo tells us the truth is not static. Like everything in the Universe, the truth is constantly evolving. What was true for us, even in the moment just passing, may not be true for us in the present moment.White Buffalo teaches us that willingness is the key to knowing truth. The reason is simple: willingness allows us to embrace whatever is honestly there in the present moment, without having to deny or resist anything that may be confronting us. If we are emotional in the now, we must recognizing that this distorts our perception of the now-based truth. When we distort truth with our emotions, we are typically not in present time, but instead filtering our perception of the now through past experience or through our fears and fantasies about the future. When this happens, we must wait and allow the passage of time to bring us the clarity we seek. Truths that we discover in the now may be quite familiar to us or they may present a dramatic challenge to beliefs we hold with great attachment, conviction and emotional charge. As we become attuned to higher guidance, we find that many beliefs and opinions fall by the wayside. This higher wisdom allows us to come to each moment, willing to change our minds about anything we once thought certain.

-----End------

Be prepared for change, for it is the only constant!

"They Will Hate You When They Can't See Their Own Hypocrisy" by Peter Ragnar

I just had to share this article written by Peter Ragnar. His razor sharp wit and humor are calculated with percision when delivering his message to the world. I love it! Thank you Peter.

"They Will Hate You When They Can't See Their Own Hypocrisy" by Peter Ragnar He retorted, "I don’t believe in commercialism!" I replied, "Fine! Take your clothes off." "What?! Are you crazy? I'm not going to take my clothes off!" I said, "Would you rather remain a hypocrite?" I continued, "You either bought or begged the clothes you have on, and either way someone had to make them. And someone had to sell them, and someone had to ship them, and someone had to buy a truck, build a store, advertise a product, and earn some money to keep your butt covered—and you have the nerve to rail against 'commercialism'?" "To object to the very thing one engages in makes one a hypocrite." Every single person who breathes is engaged, whether by money or barter, in interacting with others in trading goods or services—unless you live naked in some remote jungle. However, even primitive tribes engage in commercialism—that is, to profit from the transaction of the transfer of goods or services. "How simply or lavishly you choose to live does not negate the issue." In my homesteading days (though I was unconscious that I was engaged in a commercial pursuit by selling firewood, eggs from my chickens, and honey from my bees), I was engaged in "an economic system in which the means of production and distribution were privately owned by myself and operated for profit." That's right—my profit was the ability to be self-supporting enough that I could hold my head up, that I wasn't some leech sucking life from others. By the way, the above definition you just read is the dictionary definition for the word "capitalism." This is also the meaning of a free and voluntary market economy that is the future hope of all enlightened thinkers. "What is a free market?" Well, for certain, it's not one that has a dictatorial overseer, nor is it a market dictated by mob rule. It is "free" in the regard that it is voluntary. As an example, if you don't like the products or publications on my website, there are no soldiers with bayonets to your neck forcing you to buy them. If I don't provide enough value and service, I’m out of business, as I should be. A free market forces one to give the best service for the best price. And you are free to patronize anyone else. I love it! Another definition I've found: Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights." Here's an explanation of a free market economy from America's Persecuted Minority: "In a free economy, where no man or group of men can use physical coercion against anyone, economic power can be achieved only by voluntary means: by the voluntary choice and agreement of all those who participate in the process of production and trade. In a free market, all prices, wages, and profits are determined—not by the arbitrary whim of the rich or of the poor, not by anyone's 'greed' or by anyone's need—but by the law of supply and demand. The mechanism of a free market reflects and sums up all the economic choices and decisions made by all the participants. Men trade their goods or services by mutual consent to mutual advantage, according to their own independent, uncoerced judgment. A man can grow rich only if he is able to offer better values—better products or services, at a lower price—than others are able to offer. Wealth, in a free market, is achieved by a free, general, 'democratic' vote—by the sales and the purchases of every individual who takes part in the economic life of the country. Whenever you buy one product rather than another, you are voting for the success of some manufacturer. And, in this type of voting, every man votes only on those matters which he is qualified to judge: on his own preferences, interests, and needs. No one has the power to decide for others or to substitute his judgment for theirs; no one has the power to appoint himself 'the voice of the public' and to leave the public voiceless and disenfranchised." "While some feel that their voices speak for the majority of the public's voiceless and disenfranchised, it only speaks of their own hypocrisy." The free market speaks for us all. Screw your employer; you screw yourself. Provide lousy products and poor service—guess what? You starve! And that's the way it should be. "Remember, every day we get to vote who stays in business and who goes out." How? By our purchases. Oops! There's that word again—commercialism. Remember, they will hate you when they can't see their own hypocrisy. Much Love and Success, Peter
